In this exhibition held in collaboration with Juana de Aizpuru Gallery, and curated by professor and critic Miguel Cereceda, several large-format works by Federico Herrero (San José, Costa Rica, 1978) are compared with small landscapes on blank paper and black by the painter Joan Hernández Pijuan (Barcelona, 1931-2005). In each of the rooms, a single painting by Herrero is shown in front of the cultivated fields of Hernández Pijuan.
Voluptuousness, sensuality and exuberant colors in large formats, against the austerity of the poor lands of inland Spain. Caribbean versus Mediterranean.
