A POLISH NOTEBOOK

"...Despite the obvious prevalence of rationalisation, intellectualism and concreteness in Gil’s works, some of them do clearly have a poetic and even a romantic element to them. These particular paintings are probably those for which, as the artist himself admits, he used colour spontaneously and freely; and although they are based on measurements and angles, the paintings were created at random and not pre-planned. Gil’s most beautiful pictures are those in which you can detect some of the individual qualities of the artist's personality, emotions and his pursuit of beauty ".
