STORIES FOR TWO WITH AN IMPOSSIBLE ENDING… AND OTHER MAGRITTE-ESQUE REALITIES

This exhibition, curated by Amalia García Rubí, is part of the a3bandas project 2014. “Stories for two with an impossible ending…” presents some encounters and non-encounters with the conceptual weight of images. It is the parody of a reality reconstructed with pieces of true and fictitious stories. Analogies and associations invite the viewer to interpret freely, casting away stereotypes and embracing Magritte-esque ambivalence. The works do not hide anything visible or even invisible. The artists work in the gallery space and the art surpasses conventional limitations. Behind the icon there is a reflection of a multiple reality, both true and yet mysterious. Amalia García Rubí.
