ARCO Madrid 2024

ARCO

Our gallery would cease to exist if we didn't continue supporting young creators alongside established artists. That's why at ARCO Madrid 2024 we present a group of works by Regine Schumann (Goslar, 1961) and Sabine Finkenauer (Rockenhausen, 1961) accompanied by the most recent creations of Galina Munroe (b. 1993), a young Franco-British painter who at only thirty years of age already works with several galleries in Europe, the United States and even Australia.

The installation INNERLIGHT by Regine Schumann works as the central piece of the booth; designed for one of the most ambitious exhibition projects carried out by the artist who, coming from a mining family from Goslar (Germany), wanted to pay homage to her origins with the intervention in the compressor room of the Pozu Santa Bárbara. It was later exhibited in the Monastery of Santa María de Bujedo de Juarros, in Burgos.

Sabine Finkenauer surprises us with a series of geometric-style papers that, when assembled, reveal large-format pseudo-human figures. At the other end of the stand, Galina Munroe's captivatingly vivid mixed media canvases complete our proposal, where colour is undoubtedly the protagonist: Finkenauer's pastels, Schumann's fluorine and Munroe's vibrant palette.
